£23,609.47 – £28,247.04 p.a. dependent upon experience (£28,000 – £33,500 p.a. full time equivalent)
Applications are invited for a permanent, term time only – plus 20 days – Design and Technology Technician position in the school’s DT Department.
Ideal candidate
The main functions are to work alongside our existing DT Technician and support a team of DT Teachers in the preparation of practicals and the maintenance of departmental equipment and resources to facilitate the teaching of pupils from Year 7 through to Sixth Form.
The ideal candidate will preferably have a Product Design/Craft qualification or a designing/making background. The position could also offer the chance of professional development within education. You will need to have strengths in ICT, knowledge of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing techniques, while experience in the education sector would be advantageous. The appointee will have excellent interpersonal skills, an independent approach to tasks and be comfortable working closely with young people.
