Visit the school

We strongly encourage all families to get to know UCS better by visiting us.

We offer small, bespoke tours to prospective families where you can see the school in action. Tours last approximately 30 minutes and there is an opportunity to also meet the Headmistress. To book a suitable time and date, please contact the Admissions Office at [email protected].

Due to the popularity of the tours, and the fact registration is open from birth, we do sometimes have to prioritise tours to families that are looking to apply for the coming year.

Submit an application

You can register at any time after birth and up to October before the proposed year of entry. The next application deadline for 4+ entry (in 2026) will be noon on Friday 10th October 2025.

To apply for a Reception place, please complete the online application form below. You will be redirected to our secure online form and payment page. There is a £180 registration fee (non-refundable) payable when you submit your application; you will be directed to our online payment facility once you have completed the form. There is no need to print and post your application, or to post cheques.

If you have any queries, wish to send additional information or documents, or would like to make any comments, please contact the Admissions team at [email protected], or call us on 020 7722 4433.

The selection process

Once the application deadline has passed, we collate the assessment lists which are sent out in November. Every candidate is invited to attend a playdate assessment, which, in the case of 2025 candidates, will take place on 3rd, 6th and 7th January 2025.

There is no preparation needed for the playdate assessment.

We invite some candidates to return for another playdate assessment, the second round, usually commencing the week of Monday 15th January. Offers are then made at the end of January/beginning of February.

Fees 2024–25

Termly fees are payable in full on or before the first day of the term for which they are due. Payment by means of direct debit is generally required. A scheme for payment of fees by means of three equal monthly instalments per term by direct debit is available.

In order to accept the offer of a place at UCS, a deposit is requested. Under normal circumstances this is not returned if the place is not taken up. Full Terms and Conditions will be provided at the time of the offer.

A registration fee of £180 is payable at the time of application.
