Job description
Applications are being invited for a permanent, full-time Design and Technology Technician position in the school’s DT Department.
Ideal candidate
The main functions are to work alongside our existing DT Technician and support a team of DT Teachers in the preparation of practicals and the maintenance of departmental equipment and resources in order to facilitate the teaching of pupils from Year 7 through to Sixth Form.
The ideal candidate will have a product design/craft qualification or a designing/making background. The position could also offer professional development within education.
You will need to have strengths in ICT as well as knowledge of computer aided design and manufacturing techniques. Experience in the education sector would be advantageous. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, an independent approach to tasks and be comfortable working closely with young people.
